Royal Commission engagement, from community forums, roundtables, community meetings and service provider visits, has been a valuable way for the Commissioners to hear from members of the public about their experiences of aged care.
Forums have been held in a number of locations around the country. They are an opportunity for members of the public to hear about the work of the Commission and to offer their ideas on the challenges and strengths of, and the opportunities to improve, aged care.
Please follow the link to our community forums for details on these events.
Service provider visits
Service provider visits have enabled the Commission to see a range of diverse care settings and services provided to older Australians. Visits are intended to provide a broad context for the variety of ways in which services are delivered. Visits are not in the nature of an inspection and will not contribute to any finding about any specific facility.
For more details go to the service provider visits page.
The roundtables provide an opportunity for the Commission to hear expert views about specific issues within its terms of reference. Attendance at roundtables is by invitation.
The Commission provides news and updates on engagement activities on this page. To stay up to date on the work of the Commission please sign up to our mailing list.
