Hearings and workshops

At hearings and workshops the Royal Commission heard from people identified by Counsel Assisting to appear as a witness and give evidence. People who were expected to appear as witnesses were contacted by the Royal Commission in advance of the relevant hearing. The Royal Commission also held hearings in the form of workshops.

Counsel Assisting’s final submissions

For the final hearing, Senior Counsel Assisting, Peter Gray QC and Peter Rozen QC, presented submissions on behalf of the Counsel Assisting team over two days. Counsel submitted recommendations for the consideration of the Commissioners, and for any response by interested parties.

Funding, financing and prudential regulation

This hearing inquired into the financing and sustainability of future improvements to the aged care system, the appropriate funding model or models to support the delivery of aged care services, and the prudential regulation of aged care providers.
